Ben Rooney represents community associations, real estate investors, and property operators throughout Illinois.
His practice concentrates on condominium and common-interest community association law: preparing and amending declarations, bylaws, and rules; advising boards of managers, including meeting attendance and legal opinion letters; and enforcing governing documents at every stage, from an initial violation notice through the collection of unpaid assessments and, when necessary, litigation against homeowners, contractors, municipalities, and developers.
He also represents commercial real estate clients in acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing, and advises Illinois businesses on formation, governance, and transactions. He has practiced in Illinois since his admission to the bar in 2012, and he handles contested matters himself: in state court, in arbitration, and before the Northern District of Illinois.
